Wordmark
The first task was creating a wordmark for the publication. The typeface’s jagged angles and pointed terminals were cohesive with the textile process. I ideated ways to make the mark more personal while also reflecting clothing production. The solution I decided on was adding ligatures and little notches under the crossbar of the t.
Process
This process was one of my most extensive. I started extremely small, focusing on type layouts, and progressed to hundreds of full spreads with varying hierarchies and uses of imagery.
